Settings

In Settings, you can perform general changes to your website and mobile applications and activate or deactivate certain features.

Website

To begin with, you can add, remove and rearrange (drag and drop) General Views items in your homepage’s slider. Images will be automatically cropped and optimised to ensure optimal display and fast loading times. Next, a static image can be added to homepage along with the desired URL.

What is more, the appearance and content of the homepage on some Universal plan templates can be modified here.

In case a website contains an audio player, its page title and description can be modified in Settings. Website player is a powerful and easy-to-use tool that can be attached from the footer of the web page and open in a separate one.

Next, the metadata of your homepage can be set. Metadata tags are keywords and phrases that describe the contents of the page allowing search engines e.g. Google to understand what each page portrays. In case you have added more languages to your plan then different metadata tags can be set for different languages. Feel free to learn more about metadata tags in our relevant article.

Subsequently, you can set the OG Meta for your website; title, description, URL and image. OG Meta are used when your website is shared on various social media networks, messengers etc. However, if you have already set metadata tags for each page individually, they will be displayed instead. Again, you can set different OG Meta title & description for different languages.

Lastly, in case you have mobile apps, you can set an image and a URL for each one, allowing website visitors to directly download each one from the respective application store.

Comments

Looksomething utilises the Disqus comment platform on all its websites and mobile applications that have General Views activated.

Disqus is a worldwide comment hosting service that helps power online discussions and increase engagement.

By visiting settings you can turn comments on or off for all General Views items both in websites and mobile applications and connect your Disqus account by providing your Disqus username.

Please note that you may activate or deactivate comments separately for each General Views item from within that specific item.

Mobile Applications

What is more, on Settings you can perform various settings on your mobile apps as well and enable or disable features and Addons.

To begin with, you can use this section to set a name that it will be displayed in the mobile app. Next, you can turn certain features and Addons on or off, set your main RSS feed on specific plans, pick your preferred icons for the Home, Language and Browse (Radio Network plans) tabs and choose whether to display or not date and time on each General Views item.

Universal Mobile Applications

In addition, if your plan includes a Universal mobile app, an extra section will be displayed in the end.

Here, you can customise your home slider by adding, removing and rearranging its General Views items, a location, vertical & horizontal URLs of your choice along with their icons, setting a phone number and an email and enable or disable slider items' titles.
