A website banner or banner ad is an image intended to promote certain events, products & services or simply to attract the attention of your website visitors.
Looksomething provides you with the opportunity to add your own images by subscribing to our Enterprise plan. Moreover, if you purchase the Google AdSense Addon, you can monetise your website by displaying Google Ads in it.
Please note that websites in Starter plans include our own Google Ads whereas websites in Business plans do not display any ads at all.
There are many available positions within our website templates for banner ads; those positions can greatly differ between templates.
Please mind, that web banner positions in each template are fixed and cannot be altered nor increased in number.
However, you can choose not to display any banners at all.
You are free to place as many banners (images or AdSense ads) as you want in each position; all of them will be automatically rotated in order to be served equally to your website visitors.
Visiting Banners you can create, manage & edit all your website banners quickly and efficiently. The interface is simple, allowing you to easily have a view of all your banners (total impressions, clicks & click-through rate) or sort them in any desired order.
Both images & AdSense ads can optionally have a starting and finishing date and a maximum impressions limit.
Besides, images can additionally have their own URL & alt text. Supported image formats include .gif, .jpeg and .png. You can visit our relevant article in order to find out how you can upload and manage files within the control panel.
Last but not least, banner ads can optionally be assigned to clients (created in banner categories) allowing you to group banner ads according to your liking.
To begin with, you need to make sure that you are currently subscribed to Enterprise plan and that you have Google AdSense Addon enabled in your subscription.
Creating a Google AdSense Ad involves signing up in Google's AdSense platform, creating Ad Unit IDs and setting up your bank accounts so that you can accept payments from Google. Subsequently, you need to insert those IDs in the relevant fields on that specific AdSense Ad.
The above process is fully described here.
The following video tutorial demonstrates how you can create website image banners or add AdSense Ads using your Admin Control Panel.
Please note that some of the features and options displayed in this video might not be available or active in your plan.
